Tito Jaramillo, 81, of Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at 3:13 am.
Tito was born to Ernesto (Nene) and Lucia Valdez in Mancos, Colorado on April 10, 1944. He was adopted 10 days later by Rafael and Lupita Jaramillo on the 20th day of April. Tito was a dedicated, noble, and persevering young man that enlisted into the military at the age of 23 and served two tours in Vietnam as a Corporal E4. Following his military service, he worked as a lineman at Northern Rio Arriba Coop, worked on the construction of Heron Dam which led to his career as a Park Ranger at Heron Lake State Park, and finally he went on to retire as a member of the Rio Arriba County Roadcrew.
In 1969, Tito met his beloved and devoted wife Dolores who he shared a life with for 56 years in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Together they raised 3 loving children, Michelle, Ramon, and Damian and 2 beautiful granddaughters Adrianna and Arycela. He was a devoted father and grandfather, always there to offer guidance, love, and support. Tito had many passions in life including ranching, hunting, fishing, and gardening which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his sense of humor that could always light up any room and his presence always brought warmth to those around him.
Tito was preseded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Consuelo Martinez, his sister Sally Martinez (husband Joe), and his brother Adolfo Valdez.
He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren Adrianna, Arycela, Justin, Aryanna, and Xyanna, brothers Donnie Valdez (wife Thelma) and Ricardo Valdez (wife Kareen), brothers-in-law Patrick and Lorenzo, and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who lovingly supported him. He will be deeply missed.

Rosary Thursday October 9, 2025,6:00 pm at San Jose Parish in Los Ojos Parish
Funeral Mass Friday October 10, 2025 ,11:00 am at San Jose Parish in Los Ojos Parish Final Place of Rest San Joaquin Cemetery in Ensenada, NM.
