Toby Roberts

It is with profound sorrow, yet a profound celebration of a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Toby Derrell Roberts. Born on July 31, 1976, at Travis Air Force Base, California, Toby was an adventurous spirit, a loyal friend, a funny storyteller, and an unwaveringly courageous individual. He dedicated his life to the service of others, both in his professional capacity as an HVAC Technician with High Country and in his personal life as a loving husband, father, son, and friend.

Toby was a man of remarkable character, known for his hearty laughter, captivating stories, and an unwavering devotion to the Raiders. His love for adventure led him to many outdoor escapades, whether it was camping under the stars or exploring the beautiful landscapes of Utah. His adventurous nature was matched by his courage, displayed in his distinguished Army career, during which he was awarded multiple honors and awards. His courage extended beyond his military service, evident in his tenacity and determination in every aspect of his life.

Toby was a beacon of light and love in the lives of his family. He married the love of his life, Tammy, on July 7, 2007, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and music. His children, Calvyn, Gage, and Prestley, were his pride and joy. Toby is survived by his wife Tammy, his children, and his parents, Paul Roberts and Joan Roberts. He is also survived by his siblings, Casey (Alia) Ariza, Tania (Sam) Taylor, Julius Roberts, Ivan Roberts, Kati (Brian) Elliott, Charles (Cindy) Roberts, as well as many more family members including in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 10-11 am at Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. A celebration of Toby's life will be held at 11 am at the mortuary. We invite all who knew and loved Toby to join us in honoring his life and his legacy.
