Rick Baron Slater

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Baron Slater, born on January 26, 1963 in Ogden, Utah and left us on November 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, passion, and adventure that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Rick was a man of many passions. He was known for his love of fishing and cars, particularly his cherished Camaro. These hobbies offered him a great deal of joy and satisfaction, and he often shared these passions with those close to him.

His expertise and commitment to his work were admired by his colleagues and friends, where he worked meticulously as an Aerospace Assembler to build helicopters. His adventurous spirit was not confined to his hobbies alone, as he bravely navigated the ups and downs of life with courage and a smile.

Rick was a compassionate man who deeply loved his family. He was the precious son of Betty Kingsford and the late Richard Slater. He is survived by his "sweet pea" daughter, Nichole Hardy; his supportive sister, Rachelle Hall; and two amazing grandkids, Mercedes Christensen and Harley Christensen. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Slater; his brother, Daron Slater and his stepfather, Edward Kingsford.

Rick's adventurous spirit, love for life, and his family will forever be remembered by those who loved him. His memory will not be forgotten but will live on in the stories shared and the lives he touched.

Family and friends may gather Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 10-11:15 a.m. at Inverness Ward Building, 3426 West Augusta Drive, Syracuse, Utah. A luncheon will be held directly after viewing. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah. Services under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Layton.
