Tod Fischesser, beloved husband, brother, father, and cherished member of the community peacefully departed this earthly life on July 11th, 2024, at the age of 73. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring kindness.
Born on December 24th, 1950, Tod grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio with his parents, Virgil and Janet, who preceded him in death.
Tod graduated from Millersburg Military Institute, after which he joined the Army and faithfully served his country for three years, earning an Honorable discharge in 1974.
In 1983, Tod married the love of his life, Christine Fischesser. Over 41 years of marriage, they nurtured a home filled with love, laughter, and a steadfast devotion to their faith in Jesus.
Tod was a devoted father to his three sons, Tyler, Troy, and Truman. He took great pride in watching them grow into men of God, always supporting their dreams and aspirations with unwavering love. He cherished every moment with his family, whether it was cheering them on at sporting events, serving at church, or working in the family landscape business.
Tod's impact extended beyond his immediate family. His life was a reflection of Christ's teachings, as he selflessly volunteered his time and resources at various churches to support those in need and spread God's love to others.
In his final days, Tod faced his illness with courage and strength, surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends. He found peace in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, whom he faithfully followed throughout his life.
Tod will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Christine, his sons Tyler (Jessie), Troy, and Truman, along with his grandchildren, Selene and Torin, and his dear siblings, Ted (MaryAnne), Bonnie (Hal, predeceased), Tim (Jeanne), and Bev (Ray). His memory will be cherished by his extended family and friends.
A viewing will take place on, Monday, July 22nd from 6-8pm, at The Center of Hope Neighborhood Church, 2395 Shamrock Dr., Venice, FL.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Tod's life will be held on, Tuesday, July 23rd, at 10am, at The Center of Hope Neighborhood Church, 2395 Shamrock Dr., Venice, FL 34293.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Center of Hope Neighborhood Church Food Pantry. Condolences may be sent to the family at 146 Hourglass Dr, Venice FL 34293.
As we mourn his earthly departure, we take comfort in knowing that Tod now rests in the eternal peace of God's presence. His faith has been fulfilled, and his lifelong example of compassion continues to shine brightly in our hearts.
