Todd Schroeder, 74 of Ashby died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Todd William Schroeder was born on July 20, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Ralph and Margaret (Carr) Schroeder. He was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1967. After high school, Todd attended Alexandria Technical College for drafting.
He moved to rural Ashby where he farmed with his father-in-law, Arnold Iverson. In the late 70’s he purchased Ashby Plumbing, operating this business for ten years, then went to work for the Plumbers Union Local #15 in Minneapolis doing commercial plumbing. He retired and began working for Lakeside Lumber, continuing to live in the area. Todd enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
He is survived by three sons, Rick (Kim) Schroeder of Evansville, Matt (Danielle) Schroeder of Dalton and Mark Schroeder of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren, Kerstyn (Wyatt Johnson), Austin, Bradley and Laila Schroeder; sister, Nancy (Mike) Murphy of Minneapolis; brother, Don Schroeder of McGregor; sister-in-law, Pat Schroeder of Minneapolis; and by numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Schroeder; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Paul) Traynor; and two brothers, Ralph “Butch” Schroeder and Ray Schroeder.
An Open House Celebration of Life will be from 5 to 7 PM, Friday July 12, 2024, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Ashby.
