Thomas (Tom) Patrick D'Angelo of the Home of the Good Shepherd passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 87 years old.
Born on November 20, 1936, in Rutland, VT, he was the son of the late Eric D'Angelo and Emily Gallo D'Angelo.
Tom was a restaurateur over his many years with restaurants in South Glens Falls. His most notable restaurant was the Penalty Box.
Tom was also the manager of the rock band the Sundowners. He traveled with them to Hollywood, CA to cut an album called Captain Nemo and subsequently went on tour with the band The Monkeys. Tom was also an avid sports fan of all sports especially his favorite teams the New York Giants, the New York Knicks, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his younger years, he was the assistant golf pro at Glens Falls Country Club.
Survivors include his son Jon Timothy D'Angelo and his wife Sherry of Ballston Lake, NY, two daughters; Wendy Kathleen Haggerty of Queensbury, NY, Lindsey Praino and her husband Jeffrey of Victor, NY, 3 sisters; Linda Ashline and her husband Peter of Saratoga Springs, NY, Terry McCabe and her husband Mike of Queensbury, NY, and Jackie Herschleb and her husband Doug of Queensbury, NY, 6 grandchildren; Christopher Haggerty, Lucas, Lilah and Lily Praino, and Brandon and Ava D'Angelo and 4 great grandchildren, Anna, Ethan, Owen and Evan. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation of the wonderful and compassionate care that was given to their father at the Home of the Good Shepherd. There are no services at this time.
Burial will be in Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury, NY.
