Tomeika Marquetta Outland Robbins was born in Pasquotank, N.C. to the late Kermit Junior Winslow and Shirley Outland Blount on September 14, 1977. She was called to rest on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in Pitt County, N.C.
At an early age, Tomeika attended Gates County Public Schools until her family moved to Perquimans County. Tomeika graduated from Perquimans County High School in 1995. In 1997, she earned an Associate Degree in General Education from College of The Albemarle.
Tomeika always had a love for people, especially children. She was on a mission to show just how gifted she was at helping others. Tomeika never met a stranger. She worked at several daycare centers in the Edenton community. Her most recent employment was working as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in local nursing facilities.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Thomas and Minnie Mozell; Kermit and Cladie Winslow; father: Kermit Junior Winslow; stepfather: Walter Lee Blount; two special cousins: Theron, Jr., and Jasmin Jones.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, four children: Sha'Quanna, Nehemiah, Serenity, and Elijah all of the home; her mother, Shirley Blount, Edenton, NC; her sisters: Alvita Winslow-Holley (William, Jr.), Edenton, NC, Nikita Rodman (Jojuan), Washington, NC; nieces: Coreesha Wooten (Jacob), Winterville, NC, Coryana Harrell, Edenton, NC, Alayah Rodman, Washington, NC; nephews: Corycae' Harrell, Plymouth, NC, Cory Harrell, Jr., Edenton, NC, Anari Rodman, Washington, NC; seven aunts: Betty, Patricia (Theron), Linda, Velma, Thelma, Rosie, Carmencita; a special friend: Kenneth Clemmons, Greenville, NC; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Tomeika's extraordinary life will begin on Thursday January 9, 2025, with a viewing and visitation from 3pm to 6pm at the funeral home.
Celebration of life service will be held on Friday January 10, 2025, 1130am at Emmanuel Full Gospel Church in Windsor, NC.
Final resting place will be at the Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton, NC.
