Tommy Perry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Winegeart Funeral Home on Apr. 30, 2025.
Tommy Dale Perry, 66 years old, of Lefors, Texas, passed away from this life at his home on Friday, October 18, 2024. He was born on November 18, 1957, to Roy and Louise Perry in Mulberry, Arkansas with a Cherokee Indian heritage passed down from the Perry side of his linage.
1994 brought forth several life changes for Tommy, first, he married Joline Gordon in Arvada, CO then not long afterwards, they moved to Pampa. Their life in Pampa was short-lived when they decided to move to Lefors in 1995. Tommy had first worked in the oilfield, for NOV and Lefors Public Schools, then tried his skills as a roofer and carpenter, finding his true talents as a master carpenter and handyman. He was an accomplished woodworker and built anything from a kitchen island and table to complete cabinets, decks and sheds. He loved the feeling of accomplishment when building something from nothing with his hands.
Tommy enjoyed listening to both country and classic rock music while playing pool and believe it or not, the big guy could cut a rug! There was none more easy going nor honest than Tommy and he really strived to do the right things and live by the Golden Rule. His happy and caring persona as well as his customary attire of bib overalls will always be remembered by his close-knit group of friends, and he will be deeply missed.
He was reunited with all of his family including his parents; the love of his life and wife of 30 years, Joline Perry; a sister, Barbara Perry and his three pups, Kia, Tugs and Tex.
Although Tommy had no blood relatives left to mourn him, there are several friends that were just as close as family that will truly miss him such as Jaime & Rachel Ledgerwood of Pampa, Denny and Odie Boyd of Lefors, Randy and Linda Jones of Lefors, Keith Franks of Lefors; his sister-in-law, Luise Creason of Pampa and many more that loved Tommy just as though he was kin.
There are no Celebration of Life Memorial services scheduled at this time. The family has entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Tommy Dale Perry, please visit our Tree Store.
