Tommy Lee Turner, Jr., born July 18, 1948, peacefully departed this life on April 23, 2025, at the age of 76.
A native son, Tommy graduated from MCT in 1966. He dedicated many years of hard work to the textile industry before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of diligence, integrity, and craftsmanship.
Tommy was a very active and devoted member of the Greentown Heights Church of Christ, where he was baptized atan early age. His faith remained a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his journey and touching the lives of all whoknew him.
He was united in marriage to Bettye Ann Bridges, the love of his life, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2017.Together, they shared a life built on love, laughter, and enduring devotion.
Tommy will be remembered for his warm heart, strong spirit, and unwavering faith. He leaves behind a host of nieces,nephews, extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
HE IS SURVIVED BY THE LIGHTS OF HIS LIFE: (1 sister) Cynthia (Marvin) Oliver (4 children) Angela (Ken) Buchanan, Sonya (Bryant) Carter, Natasha Jackson, and Tommy (Valerie) Turner, LaDale Bridges. (15 grandchildren) O’tavious Bowles, Jasmine Jackson, Kayci Buchanan, Breontonee (Deontarius) Lowe, Kyle Buchanan, Ivory Turner, Brittany (Ryan) Phillips, Jada Jackson, Bryce Carter, Joya Jackson, Tamara Turner, Tiara Turner and Tommy J. Turner (8 great grandchildren) Tristan Holloway, Braelyn Lowe, Dior Lowe, Jair Lowe, Londyn Turner, Chloe Pyatt, Naomi Pyatt and Ariya Valdespin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. A very dear friend Bro. Leroy Jackson.
A life well lived, a rest well earned – Tommy Lee Turner, Jr. will be deeply missed.
