Toni Barton Obituary

Toni was born to the late Gene and Verna (Klemm) Barton and spent her early years in Albion. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1974. Following graduation, she entered the workforce and became a mother to her daughter, Melissa. Toni held various jobs throughout her career but found her long-term employment at PHB Machining, where she dedicated over two decades of her life before retiring in 2020. Following her retirement from PHB, she continued her service to the community by working at Thrifty Shopper in Girard, where she touched the lives of many.
In her leisure time, Toni was deeply involved in her community and was affectionately known as "Grammie" by most residents. She had a generous heart and was always ready to assist those in need. Toni had a passion for cooking and baking, often preparing treats for anyone who would accept them. She enjoyed working on puzzles and practicing crochet, while her treats were in the oven. She loved to dance and cherished spending time with her companion, Mike Shiley. Furthermore, Toni was an animal lover and especially loved her dog Myley.
Toni was an active member of several community organizations, including the Albion Veterans of Foreign War Lady Auxiliary Post #2341, Girard American Legion Post #494, Albion Moose Lodge #381 and was a member of the Erie Zoo.
In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandy Armeni and Traci Barton.
Toni is survived by her daughter, Melissa Copeland, her son, Matthew Copeland (Tasha), her sisters, Kel Mellin and Terri Klimek (Clinton), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ryley and Maxx Mazola.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to The ANNA Shelter at 1555 E 10th St, Erie, PA 16511.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Edder Funeral Home Inc. in Girard.
