Tony Bare Obituary

Richard Anthony Bare was born in Johnson City TN to Fay Selby Bare and Jack Bare. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Dover Air Force Base. He was assigned to the 436 Aircraft Generation Squadron. He proudly maintained C-5 A/B aircraft in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Provide Comfort/Northern Watch, Operation Deny Flight, along with many humanitarian support missions. He received an Honorable Discharge as Senior Airman E4.
He worked 29 years on the railroad as a conductor, engineer, and locomotive machinist. He most recently worked at CSX (23 years) previously Burlington Northern/Santa Fe, and Nashville & Eastern. Tony enjoyed being with his family, attending the children's sporting events, hunting, and fishing.
Tony is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kristen Heath Bare; sons: Mitchell Bare and Evan Bare; mother: Fay Stewart; siblings: Jack (Erika) Bare, Angell (Johan) Stodberg, Josh (Dana) Bare, and Teddi Bare; nieces and nephews: Hannah Bare, Tyler Bare, Lauren Decker, Aina Stodberg, Ella Stodberg, Turner Heath, and Chaney Heath; mother-in-law: Margo Heath; brother-in-law: Daniel (Ashlie) Heath; and life-long friend: Gilliam (Kim) Vastola. He is preceded in death by daughter Allison Elaine Bare, father Jack T. Bare, step-father Mack Stewart, and father-in-law Tim Heath.
