Tony Ray Brown, 71, of Ramseur, died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Maple Springs Community Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Ed Carter.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Tony was born in Guilford County and was a longtime resident of Coleridge. He was a tobacco farmer and a member of Maple Springs Community Church. Tony's favorite passtime was planting, tending, and harvesting his garden. He loved sharring his produce with family, friends, and neighbors. He was always planning for his next garden. Tony also loved taking his dog, "Ares" on long walks around his farm. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Holmes Brown, parents, Roy and Nellie Macon Brown, his sisters, Allece Cook, Pauline Rich, Betty Moffitt, and Judy Smith.

Survivors: daughter, Jennifer Allen and husband, Shane, of Albermarle, brother, Ricky Brown and wife, Lib, of Ramseur, nieces, Christy Brown, Carol Ann Cox, Cindee Stout, Tina Sawyer, Tammy Pair, Linda Schaller, Susan Nooe and nephew, Timothy Smith.

Mr. Brown will lie in repose on Thursday, August 16, 2025 from 12-5 PM at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur.

Visitation, 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, Friday, Maple Springs Community Church, Ramseur.
