Michael Gordon Easter, 73, of Julian, died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at AuthoraCare in Burlington.

Memorial Services, 11:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Beacon Baptist Church, Burlington.

Officiating, Rev. Greg Barkman, Rev. Michael Karnes, Rev. Bob LaTour, and Rev. Hunter Strength.

A private family burial will be held at Gilmore Memorial Park.

Michael was born in Rowan County on December 5, 1951 and was a longtime resident of Guilford County. He was a 1969 graduate of West Davidson High School and was employed as a barber for 50 years, working for over 30 years at Champney and Company Barber Shop. Mr. Easter loved the Lord and his church, Beacon Baptist Church of Burlington, where he was a proud member. Michael loved people and was always willing to help during a time of need. He cared deeply for all of his friends and family. In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his grandchild. Mr. Easter was preceded in death by his parents, James Gordon Easter, Sr. and Ollie Brandon Easter.

Survivors: wife of 34 years, Cathy Blackard Easter, of the home, daughter, Carson Easter Lineberry and husband, Daniel, of Julian, son, Michael Dalton Easter, of Liberty, sisters, Julie Easter, of Lexington, Lisa Simmerson and husband, Randy, of Tyro, NC, brother, James Gordon Easter, Jr., of Churchland, NC, grandson, Lucas Michael Lineberry, of Julian.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, Saturday, at Beacon Baptist Church, Burlington.
