Tony Richmond Chastain of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away October 26, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 68. He was born November 3, 1956, in Blue Ridge, Georgia, the son of Talmadge and Opal McCall Chastain. He married Patricia "Patti" Wiley on May 8, 1998. Tony dedicated 34 years to Baxter Lab and worked as a senior technician. He was a member of the Arkana Baptist Church and Beaver Lake Beagle Club.His love for music began early, at just 14, he joined the Ozark Quartet as a bass player and continued sharing his musical talent with many bands throughout his life. Tony found joy in the simple things, fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
Tony is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patti Chastain of Mountain Home, AR; son, Kyle Reese of Fort Smith, AR; daughters, Allison (Bo) Parks of Clarkridge, AR, Kaycee Dunn of Mountain Home, AR, and Lacee (Chris) Bales of Bakersfield, MO; brother, Layne (Cheryl) Chastain of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Jane (Keith) Byrd of Mountain Home, AR, and Trish Hamilton; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Matheson; son, Kevin Reese and niece, Jessica Chastain.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for Tony will be 10:00 am, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Arkana Baptist Church, with Pastor Link Fuller Pastor and Pastor Shannon Byrd officiating. Burial will be in the Quality Ridge Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Jim Gifford, Mike Sweatnam, Lee Southerland, Terry Batterton, Mike Lawrence, and Eric Rowbotham as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Dean Hopper, Dwayne Roberts, Todd Cowart, Joey Estes, and Luke Walker.
Memorials may be made to Arkana Baptist Church.
