Tony Rosalez

Tony John Rosalez of Houston sadly departed this earth Saturday March 16th, 2024, at the age of 72. Tony was born in Cuero, Tx on May 17th, 1951, and was the first son of proud parents Mrs. Eswarda and Mr. Tony Rosalez.
Tony graduated from Ganado High School where he excelled in all aspects of sports and academics but especially football, in which he was given opportunities (scholarships) to play college football but chose to proudly serve his country. Tony enlisted in the U.S Army in 1969 and fought bravely in the Vietnam War and was able to return safely. Tony dedicated 15 years as a surveyor and then pursued a career in hazmat transportation, covering thousands of miles across many states. He enjoyed spending time with his favorite niece, Brittni who moved to Houston with her partner Steven. During his leisure time he enjoyed watching his favorite teams, Houston Texans and Astros but more importantly he enjoyed his time as a pitmaster barbequing for his loved ones. Tony spent much time raising his grandsons and attending most if not all sporting events and school functions creating countless and precious memories. Tony was fond of Tejano music, Elvis Presley, and watching John Wayne and old westerns for hours.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Emily Rosalez of 25 years. He is survived by his Siblings: Brother Roy Rosalez and wife Diane, brother Louis Rosalez and wife Marie, brother Rudy Rosalez and wife Christine and sister Linda Silvas and husband Roland. Children: Daughter Selena, daughter Julie, son Henry Rodriguez Jr. and wife Jennifer Rodriguez, daughter Monica Rodriguez and partner Chris Jones, daughter Jennifer Boyd and husband Justin Boyd. Grandchildren: Zachary Rodriguez, Zayden Rodriguez, Arian Rodriguez, and Noah Jones. He is reunited with both parents, sister Modesta, and his niece Roxana Rosalez.
A service to honor Tony's life will be held on March 29th, 2024, at 9:00am at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home located at 706 E. Crestwood Dr Victoria, Tx. 77901. Following the service, Tony will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery with his fellow brothers in arms located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, Tx. 77038.
Tony Rosalez will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, and friend to many. His stories, wisdom, generosity, and warmth of his company will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
