MASSENA – Tony G. Truax, 67, of Beach Street, tragically passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at his home.
Tony was born in Massena on August 1, 1957, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Mossow) Truax. He attended and graduated from St. Lawrence Central School. On June 14, 1980, he married Sheryl "Sheri" Michaud at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Tony first worked for Slavin's Furniture before starting his career as a car salesman, first working for Massena Chrysler Jeep and retiring from Blevins in Massena. He was an avid golfer, cornhole player, softball player, and loved puttering around his yard. Tony's family was his pride and joy and cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren. His love for his children was evident as he was a kidney donor for his daughter, Paige.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Sheri; his daughters and sons-in-law, Paige and Joe Arcet of Massena and Lindsey and Blake Rodriguez of Delray Beach, Florida; his beloved grandchildren, Aliyah Arcet and Shay and Crew Rodriguez; his sister, Tammy (Jimmy) Ryan of Brasher Falls; his brothers, Terry "Twiggy" Truax (Cathy Woodward) of Brasher Falls and Jeff Truax (Kris Whitcomb) of Massena; and his sister-in-laws, Michelle Truax of Glens Falls and Dee Dee Brown Reynolds of Massena.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lois Michaud of Brasher; his brother-in-law, Steve (Brenda) Michaud of Massena, his sister-in-law, Lori and (Dr. Randy) Richards of Winthrop; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Rodney and Danny Truax.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of his life will be held Monday, December 9th beginning at 1:00 PM at the Massena Elks Lodge, Bower Street, Massena.
