Tonya D. Taylor Turnbull

Mrs. Tonya D. Taylor Turnbull, age 59, of Madison, Indiana entered into this life on August 29, 1964 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Larry Dean and W. Faye Stainback Taylor. She lived a life of service and love, dedicating her time caring for those who had intellectual disabilities within our community. She loved her family, especially her husband Bruce Turnbull with whom she was united in marriage on December 29, 2005. Tonya passed from this world on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 10:35 a.m. at Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana after her long battle with cancer.
A LOVING FAMILY
Tonya will be missed by many, her friends, her past colleagues, but especially by her family. Her loving husband, Bruce Turnbull of Madison, Indiana; her children, Evelyn Johnson, Heather Spurr and her husband, Jacob, Bethany Hays and her wife, Quesiah, Justin Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Aubree Turnbull and her fiancé Andrew Furnish; her grandchildren, Charity Lowe and her fiancé Ben, Bryan Lowe and his fiancé Taylor, Sean Spurr and his fiancé Jennifer, Jessica Spurr, Corey Spurr, Esperanza Garcia, Orion Hays, and Luna Trinidad; her great grandchildren, Kathleen Johnson and Eileen Johnson; her sister, Carlee Taylor; and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dean Taylor, died January 29, 2010, her mother, W. Faye Stainback Taylor, died March 2, 2018, and her sister, Theresa Wehner.
LIFE CELEBRATION
Cremation was chosen with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date.

"Don't think of her as gone away, her journey's just begun. Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrow and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much."
