Tracey Lee Murphy Rosenkrans, 46, of Chenango Forks, passed away peacefully October 17, 2022, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family and dearest friends.
Tracey is survived by her beloved son Ethan Carter Rosenkrans (Chenango Forks, NY), her loving partner; Thomas Barker (Chenango Forks, NY), her father; Thomas (Susan) Murphy (Hopewell Junction, NY), her mother; Billie Murphy (Ballston Spa, NY), her sister; Jacqueline (Dennis) Rounds (Ballston Spa, NY), her brother; Thomas (Erin) Murphy (Chenango Forks, NY). Tracey was a loving niece to Natalie (Wayne) Bensley (FL); Linda (Robert) Terry (Ithaca, NY); Earlene Schoff ( St. Johnsville, NY); Vicky (Mark) Lyman (VA), Tracey was a loving aunt to Kaitlyn, Lindsey, Matthew (Ballston Spa, NY); Teagan, Kenley, Brexyn (Chenango Forks, NY), along with many cousins and friends.
Tracey was born at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. She was a graduate of Johnson City High School. Tracey had a successful career as a commercial project manager at Verizon. Tracey also worked as a care coordinator for Southern Tier Independence Center (S. T. I. C.) serving the very handicapped in her community until her health caused her to step down. She was then available to help her brother Tommy at his restaurant, The Reveille in Johnson City. Tracey loved working closely with her brother and was an extremely hard worker who was dedicated and loyal. She will be greatly missed by the many patrons in the community who grew to know and love her. To meet Tracey, it was to feel like you've known her all your life. She loved to cook, bake, and shop at Amazon. We think she was a silent partner with DoorDash and Instacart. Tracey was most happy doing things for others. She was always thinking of ways she could help those around her. She was a giver and loved to shower her friends and family with little tokens of her love. She would remember your favorite things, and gift them to you for no other reason but to make you smile. Tracey had the gift of hospitality, and loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She was a natural event planner, and had a way of making the simplest day special. She loved creating a beautiful home with partner of seven years, Tom Barker, the love of her life, and her son Ethan. Tracey loved having family and friends over and especially cherished her time with her close friends Mary, Matt, Val, Bill, Shannon, April and Michelle. Most importantly, Tracey was a woman of faith, a wife, and beautiful mother to her 14-year-old son, Ethan, whom she referred to as her "miracle baby." Tracey cherished her time with Ethan and was so proud of him.
Tracey's life touched countless people and leaves behind a legacy of friendship, kindness and love. 1 Corinthians 13:13. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 am Monday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton (Due to road construction, please enter Chenango St from Bevier St.) The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3-6 pm.
