Tracy Allen Godfrey, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, departed this life on November 17, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy woven with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Born on December 25, 1969, in New Castle, Indiana, Tracy was destined to bring joy into the world, and he did so with a spirit as vibrant as a summer's day.

Tracy's journey was marked by the joy of connection. He was known as the life of the party, an essential presence that filled every room with laughter and warmth. His love for telling jokes and his reputation as a great prankster ensured that his family and friends never experienced a dull moment. A graduate of New Castle High School and Lincoln Tech, he pursued his career with genuine passion, beginning at Lockerbie Square Cabinets and eventually taking the reins as owner in 2012, a milestone he was exceptionally proud of.

With unwavering commitment, Tracy also answered the call to serve his country proudly in the National Guard, embodying dedication and courage. This sense of service seamlessly translated into every aspect of his life, from his work to his relationships, as he always prioritized surrounding himself with meaningful connections.

Tracy’s interests knew no bounds; he adored attending concerts, often seen dancing with joy as the music flowed around him. He found peace and happiness in boating and cherished the serenity of camping under the stars. These passions were shared with his devoted wife, Elizabeth Lauck Godfrey, and their son, Trent Godfrey, who will carry his spirit forward. Tracy’s favorite holiday was Christmas, sharing the joy of the season.

He is also survived by his caring mother, Theda McFalls, and his brother, Travis (Jenna) Godfrey, alongside his niece, Tamryn Godfrey. Their lives were immensely enriched by his presence, forever changed by his infectious laughter and the countless memories they created together. Tracy’s enduring spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will forever treasure the moments spent in his company.

Tracy's father, Robert Godfrey, who preceded him in death, welcomed him into the next realm with open arms. Together, they now share the laughter and love for which Tracy was so passionate while he walked this earth.
