Tracy Kintner Obituary

Tracy L. Kintner passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Tracy was an avid lover of the outdoors, known for her free spirit and the joyful way she danced to the beat of her own drum. She never met a stranger and was always ready to listen, laugh, and share a story. Her warmth and compassion made everyone she met feel valued and understood.

Throughout her life, Tracy devoted herself to serving others through her work in the hospitality industry-a true reflection of her generous and caring nature. She had a deep appreciation for Native American history and found peace in tending her garden. Whether nurturing plants or caring for her beloved cat, Tate, Tracy brought life and love to everything around her.

Tracy was preceded in death by her stepfather, George Burton. She is survived by her mother, Judy Schaffer; father, George Kintner (Hilda); siblings, Kenny Kintner, Jeanne Kintner, Kevin Kintner, Megean Foord (Obadyah), Jaime Rosales (Tammy), Michelle Wood, Kristopher Kintner, Karen Courtaway (Matt), Glenn Burton (Kristin), and Paul Burton (Jennifer); her cherished nieces and nephews, Emily Kintner, Jayce Foord, Arianna Foord, Angelica, Adrianna, Rainey, Clare, Jack, Chance, Triston, Te' Tum, and Niki, Aiden, Gavin, Dustin, Sarah Jo; and her dear friend, Brittany Koehne, who lovingly cared for Tracy and became like a sister to her.

Her vibrant spirit, love for life, and kindness toward others will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tracy's memory to the ALS Association, in support of continued research and the hope of finding a cure for this devastating disease.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Tracy's life on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Altmeyer Funeral Home in Newport News, Virginia.
