Tracy Wayne Olson, born in Bagley, MN, on February 17, 1969. Tracy had a sudden and unexpected, yet peaceful, death at his home in Warroad, MN, on August 10, 2025, at the age of 56.

A celebration of life will be on Thursday, August 21, 2025, with a time of remembrance and sharing at the Irvin Blix American Legion Post #16 of Bagley at 1:00 p.m. A burial will take place at the Nora Township Cemetery in Bagley at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served at the Legion from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Tracy was brought into this world by his loving parents, Donovan and Charlene Olson. Tracy was their firstborn child and had one younger sister, Cyndi (O'Bryan). Tracy was extremely smart and worked hard at a very young age. He worked at Galen's Supermarket and for local farmers as a youth. He was baptized as a baby and also confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church of Bagley. He graduated from Bagley High School, Class of 1987. He then attended Bemidji State University and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Business and Economics in 1992. During college, he worked in the kitchen at Papa Gene's, bartended at Angelina's, and worked for the Clearwater County Highway Department. He had also worked a short time on the road doing pipeline construction, and also worked for Shegrud Backhoe Inc. He married the mother of his children, Erin Shegrud, in Bagley, MN, in February of 1994. They welcomed their son, Jordan Olson, in October of 1993. The family of three moved and started their lives in Warroad, MN in the fall of 1994.

At this time, he began his Marvin Windows and Doors career. They soon welcomed their daughter, JeRae Olson, in July of 1996. Tracy was a CNC Programmer in the MTO department for the majority of his career at Marvin. He put in an accumulated 30 years of hard work and dedication to Marvin. He worked a part-time job at Pine Ridge Liquor for some time. He even purchased some stereo equipment and became a DJ. He dreamt of going full-time. He sure loved to blast those speakers! Tracy was a proud, devoted, and loving father of his two children, Jordan and JeRae. His children were his pride and joy in life. He had a clever sense of humor, a quick wit, and never missed the opportunity for a good joke. He was a die-hard Vikings Football fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, hockey, and other sports on TV. He enjoyed comedy movies and shows like Saturday Night Live and Wayne's World. He enjoyed grilling, fishing, hunting, and yard games. He loved a good, big bonfire with an ice-cold beer and very loud rock music playing, usually Kiss or Motley Crue. He especially enjoyed watching his children succeed. He attended their youth and high school sports events, prom, both of their high school graduations, his daughter's college graduation, and even got to see his son get married last summer. Tracy had recently purchased a new home, truck, and even rescued a dog. We all got to see him as a "new man" his last few years with us. Tracy is going to be missed dearly by many. Gone far too soon, but will never be forgotten.

Tracy was preceded in death by 5 great-grandparents, grandparents: Jerome and Sylvia Olson Branden, Art Branden, Orville and Lois Hoie, uncles: Rodney Olson and Pete Hoie, cousins: Markie Reff, and Miles Shegrud.

Tracy is survived by his parents: Donovan and Charlene Olson, sister: Cyndi (James) O'Bryan, children: Jordan (Kelsie) Olson, JeRae Olson, niece and nephew: Taylor (Shay) Engelstad, Trey O'Bryan, great niece and nephew: Andel and Lyanna Engelstad. Tracy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
