Tracy L. Parson, 55, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:30 am on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born in
Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, January 13, 1970, to Richard Evans and Delores (Jackson) Green. She married Derrick Parson on July 22, 2000.
After graduation from Marion High School in 1988, Tracy attended Vincennes University and later graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an associate's degree. She worked at Howard Regional Health, where she was a medical coder.
Tracy was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She was a very generous person in many ways and loved to give to organizations she felt passionate about. She loved reading, watching movies, ballroom dancing, singing Karaoke, and playing board games. She always had music playing while she cooked breakfast, as well as around the home as she worked. Tracy was very fond of "date night" with her beloved husband, Derrick. She was very family-oriented and loved her family and friends.
Survivors include her loving husband, Derrick Parson of Fort Wayne; fathers, Richard (Brenda) Evans and Oscar "Jack" (Lori) Green; daughters, India Elliott of Indianapolis and Alexis Parson of Fort Wayne; god-son, Jalen Gillis of Miami, FL; granddaughters, Amaya Elliott, Aubrielle Elliott, Alivia Elliott, and Aunest Elliott; siblings, Anthony Jackson, Hope Cheri (Orlando) Felder, Rikesa Evans, Rinetia (Sherard) Cole, Jaqueline (Jordan) Hornaday, DeArin (Shannon) Inman, Dontae (Chelsea) Inman, Marcus (Dominique) Parson, Donnell Knight, Lamar Pettiford, Brittany Pettiford, Susan Allen, and Elizabeth Allen; brothers-in-law, Donnell Parson and Richard Reynolds, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Green.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1204 W. 14th St.,
Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Tracy's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor C.L. Adams officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
After the burial, repast will be at Prince Hall, 3678 Prince Hall Dr.,
Marion, IN 46953, followed by Afterglow at Big H Sports Bar, 3022 S. Washington St.,
Marion, IN 46953.
