Andre Dossey Obituary
December 15, 1958 ~ January 19, 2026
Andre Dossey, 67, of Marion, passed away at 9:30 pm on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Aperion Care in Marion. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, December 15, 1958, to Claudette Matthews, and was the son of Lloyd Dossey, Sr. and Florine Dossey.
Andre was a 1977 graduate of Marion High School. He served in the United States Army.
Following his military service, Andre worked as a laborer for RCA in Marion.
Andre ran cross country and track, and played basketball in high school. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and also enjoyed shooting pool.
Survivors include his daughters, Ronica Weaver and Marie Bibbs; grandchildren, Nathaniel Bibbs and Nakiya Bibbs; sisters, Lorese (Charles) Owensby, Wilma Barnett and Willette Barnett; brother, Lamont (Janet) Barnett; plus several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Dossey, Sr. and Florine Dossey; and sister, Cathy E. Tyson.
The family will host a memorial visitation from 11 am to 12 pm on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Trinity Victory Baptist Church, 2001 S. Gallatin St., Marion, IN 46953.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Andre's life will begin at 12 pm with Rev. Stanford Bolden officiating.
