We regret to announce that Travis Daniel Palmer, resident of Denver, Colorado, and the world's most unlikely laborer, closed his toolbox for the last time on November 15, 2023, just a few years shy of his beloved Pitsburg Stealers winning the Super Bowl. Born on September 19, 1994, also in Denver, Travis Daniel was a bonafide Colorado native, a rare species indeed. In his 29 years, he managed to cram in enough adventure, creativity, and fun to fill several less entertaining lifetimes. From winning the state championship for strongest punch (at the tender age of 7, no less) to attempting to start a business with just about anyone he met, Travis Daniel was never one to let life get boring.
A man of many talents, Travis Daniel was as comfortable fixing a leaky faucet as he was holding court with a well-timed joke. He was an independent contractor by trade, but a comedian at heart, even winning a small talent show at a clinic. Always ready with a quip or a funny story, he was the life of any gathering. "The secret of life," he would often say, "is to keep your toolbox in one hand and your joke book in the other." Whether he was building forts with his brother, Tyler, being protective of his sister, Ashton, or playing video games with his son, Anthony, his sense of humor and smarts made every moment a joy.
His love for reading books and playing chess showcased his intellectual side, while his love for rollerblading, skateboarding, and riding bikes revealed his adventurous spirit. More than anything, though, Travis Daniel loved his family. His son Anthony, his mother Terri, and his significant other Angela were the sunshine in his life. In the words of Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and Travis Daniel spent his life getting started on his dreams, from dreaming of owning his own detailing company to becoming a stand-up comedian. His father, Daniel, who preceded him in death, would undoubtedly be proud.
Travis Daniel's story doesn't end here, though. We encourage you to visit his memorial page to share your favorite memories of this smart, funny, creative, adventurous soul. Upload photos of his many adventures, share the jokes he told that made you laugh until you cried, and let's keep his spirit alive with every story we share.
