Tresa Rokus Obituary
Tresa Laverne (Duncan) Rokus, 86, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Tresa was born June 5, 1936, in Weatherford, Texas, to Solomon Noe Duncan and Fannie Pauline (Brandon) Duncan. She was raised on a dairy farm in Annetta, Texas. Throughout her life, Tresa worked at Phillips Components, Proctor Plantland, Premier Fulfillment, and Walmart. Her favorite pastime was to be outside with nature and gardening. Also, Tresa loved Christmas; she called herself a snowman collector. Tresa was an avid road tripper, enjoyed camping and cooking, and she was known for sharing her opinion in an open fashion.
Tresa is survived by her son, Booper Rokus and wife, Tammy of Brock, Texas; son, Mike Rokus and wife, Kelly of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Carolyn Cox and husband, Lex of Azle, Texas; #3 son, Stewart Destizer and wife, Diane of Weatherford, Texas; a host of 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lillie Waters and Naomi Harris.
Tresa was preceded in death by her parents, Noe and Pauline Duncan; brother, Charles Duncan; and sisters, Louise Rodriguez and Cordie Marts.
Our family would like to send a special thanks for all the love and exceptional care to the staff and extended family of College Park Care Facility at Legend Hospice.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2023, at Annetta Cemetery, in Annetta Texas.
Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm., Sunday, January, 15, 2023, at Galbreaith Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
