Sharon (Granny) McFarland Rokus

Sharon (Granny) McFarland Rokus 71, a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother, passed away on July 2, 2017 in Ft. Worth, TX. She was the youngest of James Porter McFarland Jr. and Vina Burch McFarland. Sharon attended Weatherford High school where she played the Piccolo in the Marching Band. Sharon continued her passion for music and studies at University of North Texas in Denton, where she also played the Piccolo, and was a member of the Marching Band. Her impressive studies included 4 years of Calculus. After college, she pursued a career with Tandy Corp, where she became the Overseas Real Estate Accounting Adviser for over 20 years. Amidst that time she also became a successful business owner that untimely led to her retirement from Tandy. She created and oversaw multiple business endeavors for the 31 years.

Tina Franklin, Mimi Wilson and Michael Osmer, Sr., Dobie and Rachel Rokus, Booper and Tammy Rokus, Mike and Kelly Rokus, Carolyn and Lex Cox. 28 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren
Join us to celebrate the life of Sharon. Visitation services on Wednesday July 5th 6pm-8pm. Services are Thursday July 6th at 10 am. Both services will be held at Galbreaith-Pickard Chapel in Weatherford. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Heart Association.
