Jerry Lynn Worsham

Jerry Lynn Worsham, age 85, of Rockwall, Texas, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 29, 2025. Born on February 28, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, Jerry's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to family and passion for the simple pleasures in life.

Greatly influenced by his parents, Jerry's formative years in Mount Pleasant set the foundation for a life characterized by hard work. He attended North Texas State University, where he studied business finance and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He embarked on a successful career as an accountant and comptroller.

It was during his tenure at Sears, Roebuck and Co. that Jerry met Carolyn Collins, the woman who would become his beloved wife and lifelong companion for 56 years. Their union was one of mutual respect, deep affection, and shared adventures. Together, they raised a loving family, and the echoes of their laughter still resonate in the hearts of those who knew them best.

Jerry's family was the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his son, Ron Worsham; daughters, Lisa Luff and her husband Brian, and Stacy Crossland and her husband Ray; his cherished grandchildren, Cooper, Hannah, Jackson, Connor, Lisa Kay, and Caden; his sisters, Melba Craig and Mary Summerlin and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; son, Christopher Brett Jones; and his parents, Harlon E Worsham and Lela Cherry Worsham.

A life long member of the Methodist Church, he embodied the principles of love and service in his daily life. Jerry spent many years of dedicated service as a Boy Scout and as a troop leader for his sons. He was a man who found joy in the beauty of nature, whether he was naming a plant, identifying a bird by its song, or tending to his garden. He took great pleasure in cooking for his loved ones, primarily barbecuing brisket or ribs.

His greatest joy was being PawPaw to his grandchildren and taking vacations as a family. Traveling with Carolyn was among Jerry's favorite pursuits. Their road trips and cruises were not just journeys through landscapes but voyages of deep love and companionship.

As we bid farewell to Jerry Lynn Worsham, we remember a man whose very presence was a source of comfort. Although he will be profoundly missed, Jerry's story does not end with his passing. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will endure through the generations.
