Trevor Corey Carter, a devoted family man and friend to many, died unexpectedly on October 11th, 2024, at the age of 47. He was doing what he loved the most, his hobbies and adventuring.
Trevor was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 19th, 1976, to Karen and Danny Carter and has remained a lifelong resident.
He graduated from Seaman High School in 1995. Trevor was an extremely hard worker at any job he ever had. His last was serving as a machine maintenance technician. When not working he enjoyed trips to wherever his heart and motorcycle would take him. As for his hobbies, he was an avid fisherman, a collector (including his enormous Hot Wheels collection), and a car tinkerer. He could always turn nothing into something as if magic.
Trevor was a strong, religious soul who loved the Lord and would drop anything to help anyone who needed it. He would also take others to church and show them how God could affect their lives. Even on his bad days, he brought light and laughter to the world. Trevor had an infectious, one-of-a-kind personality. He also had a motto that was, "Life wasn't worth living unless you lived it on the edge." When life would tear him down, he always came back stronger. He always told those around him he had too much to live for.
Trevor leaves behind his parents, Daniel and Karen Carter, his sister Krystal Bradley (husband Lance), his brother Shawn Carter, his daughter Summer Alter (husband Austin), his grandchildren Kinslee and Karson Alter; niece, nephews and all extended family.
Trevor, you will be deeply missed by all those who were lucky enough to love and know you.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 17th at Victory City Church, 2622 SE 6th Street, Topeka Ks 66607.
