Trina Lynne Mount Johnson of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away February 22, 2026, at Crestwood Medical Center surrounded by family.

Trina was a graduate of Scottsboro High School class of 79. She then furthered her education at UAH and Alabama A&M to pursue a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She spent thirty-three years employed by the Jackson County Board of Education teaching, supporting, and loving numerous amounts of students. After retirement, she was employed with TVA CIP center as a proctor and the Jackson County Board of Registrars as a clerk. She spent many Saturdays serving the community through Jacob's Well Food Pantry. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church. She was very family oriented and the backbone of the family. Her family and friends always knew she was only a phone call or text away, no matter the time of day.

She is survived by her children, Blake (Sabrina) Johnson and Brieanne (Jeremiah) Ellison; grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart, Aubrie and Christopher Johnson and Dessie Ellison; sister, Tanya Proctor; uncle James (Charlotte) Mount; and several nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Brooke JoAnn Johnson; parents, Retired Sheriff Paul and JoAnn Mount; paternal grandparents Jesse and Ethel Mount; maternal grandparents, Lester and Mildred Berry; father of her children, David Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Trina will also be remembered for her love of using numerous emojis in text messages. She had a big heart, saw the best in everyone and loved everyone unconditionally.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel.
