Tris Harold Kemp, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on October 10, 1950, from the union of Harold T. Kemp and Grace E. Malone. He was raised on the southside of Chicago and attended Harlen High School. Tris dedicated his career to being a self-employed computer technician, combining his passion for technology with a commitment to helping others.

Tris attended Chicago State University where he became a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. His love for computers was only matched by his deep affection for his family and friends. He cherished the time spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his loving wife, Syble L. Cox Kemp, with whom he shared 28 years. He was a devoted father to his children, Kiba Kemp and Khalif Kemp and step-father to Chaz Cox (deceased). Tris also delighted in being a grandfather to his grandchild, Chassidy Cox, who brought him great joy. He is further survived by his siblings, Rhonda Kemp Murphy and Myra Kemp Casey (Don), and niece Kara Casey and nephew Chad Casey.

Tris Harold Kemp will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warmth, kindness, and love for his family and friends will remain in their hearts forever.
