Tristin M. Miller, 24, of Little York, IL, passed away at 5:53 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Lexington, KY.
He was born on January 6, 1999 in Rock Island, IL, the son of Eric and Annie (Boswell) Miller. He was raised and educated in the Little York area and graduated from United High School in 2017. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from Southern Illinois University in December of 2021. He was currently working on his PhD on a full ride scholarship in Toxicology and Cancer Research at the University of Kentucky.
Tristin enjoyed golfing; he played on the United High School Golf Team for 4 years. He loved to travel, he and his Uncle Craig shared many adventures together. Tristin enjoyed taking friends and family on the bourbon trail. He was dedicated, determined, devoted toward any goal or challenge set before him. Tristin was a devoted father to two kittens, Blue & Ultra, and a loving Beta Fish.
Surviving Tristin are his parents, Eric & Annie Miller of Little York, IL; one brother, Wes (Jenna) Miller of Alexis, IL; one sister, Emily Eckert of Danville, IL; paternal grandparents, Guy & Lisa Morris of Monmouth, IL, Deb Miller of Illinois; maternal grandparents, Bill & Carol Moore of Derby, IA; great great grandmother, Roberta Stevens of Kentucky; his aunts & uncles, Charlie & Heather Boswell of Georgia, James & Susan Boswell of California, Robert & Valerie Boswell of Colorado, Alanna Miller of Illinois, Bryan & Bobbi Morris of Texas, and Craig Morris of Illinois. Also surviving are two nieces, Leiselotte & Skye and two nephews, Louis & Knox; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tim Miller, maternal grandfather, William Boswell, and aunt, Glenda Chiri.
Tristin gave the gift of life to others; he was an organ and tissue donor.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023 at McGuire &Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. A Celebration of Life with a time of remembrance will be at 7:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Tristin Miller Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
