Troy graduated from Hamden High School, class of 2018. He enrolled at Naugatuck Valley Community College before his illness. Troy was an avid wrestling fan and budding young artist.
He is survived by his father, Troy ( Antoinette ) Jones, Sr.; mother, Erica M. Gaston; brothers, DeJon Jones, Evan Parker, and Eugene Parker; sisters, Victoria and Katera Jones; stepbrothers, Shylan Young and Myron Craig, Jr.; stepsister, Sierra Young; paternal grandfather, James ( Mary ) Jones, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Margaret Riddick; godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perry; godsisters, Tiffany and Ashley Perry; several uncles, aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Troy was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Carol Jones; maternal grandfather, Eric Gaston; and bonus grandfather, Robert Riddick.
