Troy Franklin Massey, 58, of Jasper passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Troy was born February 23, 1967, to his parents, Henry Franklin Massey and Brenda J. Massey. He grew up in Cumming and attended Forsyth Central High School. Troy was a beloved husband and father, and a long-time employee of Forsyth County Government.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Franklin Massey. Troy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda L. Massey, his daughter, Micayla Massey (Ian Hamby) of Cartersville, his mother, Brenda J. Massey and uncle, Russell Hamrick, of Rogersville, TN, his sisters, Kym Tedders (Alan), and Lisa Foster (Tracy) of Rogersville, TN, his father and mother-in-law, Ray and Lucy Douglas of Carnesville, GA, his sister-in-law, Susan Payne (Bobby) of Hartwell, GA and nieces and nephews, Dusten Tedders (Alana), Bell Tedders (Michael), Owen Foster, Brittany Wood (Randy) and Jonathan Payne (Morgan), and great niece and nephews.
Troy will be remembered as a loving, kind and caring man who loved the Lord and his family. He now rests in eternal peace with the Lord.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Cross Plains Baptist Church, 6500 McGinnis Ferry Road, Alpharetta, GA 30005 with Rev. Michael Cantrell and Rev. Blake Samples officiating.
