Troy Tanon, born June 25, 1991, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2025, at the age of 34. He was a loving husband, cherished uncle, beloved son and brother, and a dear friend to many.
Born at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas, Troy touched countless lives with his kind heart, sharp mind, and gentle spirit.
Troy met the love of his life, Jose, at a Dairy Queen, and from that moment on, their story began. The two were married on February 15, 2020, and together they built a life filled with laughter, creativity, and unwavering love.
Troy was known for his warm smile, endless curiosity, and remarkable knowledge about just about everything. In his free time, he loved creating digital art in Procreate, playing video games, and taking long walks or hikes in nature. He found peace in simple moments shared with family and friends.
Troy was the kind of person who could fix anything-whether it was a broken gadget or someone's bad day. His passion for technology, coding, and collecting Star Wars memorabilia reflected his vibrant curiosity and unique personality. Among his favorite shows were Bluey, The Orville, Solar Opposites, and Rick and Morty.
Troy's legacy lives on through his husband, Jose; his parents, Melissa and Randall; his stepmother, Zoila; his sisters, Crystal, Veronica, Genesis, and Deanna; and his grandparents, Jessie, Patsy, Les, and Luther.
Troy will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A service to honor and celebrate Troy's life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home in Grand Prarie, TX. He will be laid to rest at Mountain Creek Cemetery.
The family kindly invites everyone to share a special memory of Troy or a message for the family in the memory box at the service.
