TROY LEE WHALEY, age 80 of Jefferson City, TN passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at his home. He was the son of the late, Dallas and Mary Parton (Barnes) Whaley and was preceded in death by his brothers, William and twin brother, Roy Whaley; sisters, Dorothy Morgan, and Grace Moore; daughter-in-law, Brenda Whaley. Troy was survived by his beloved wife, Patsy (Dotson) Whaley; son, Donald Whaley, daughters, Donna Sue (Scott) Cook, Rosa Mae (Kevin) Amburn, and Mary Ann Lewis; grandchildren, Elica Commander, Felica Whaley, Josey Amburn, Travis Vaughn, and Megan Amburn; great-grandchildren, Remington Commander, Macayla Wilson, A.J. Amburn and special friend, Wanda Carter, and several nieces and nephews. Troy was a retired employee of the Jefferson Co. Sanitation Department and enjoyed being outdoors and being with his family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will greatly missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Sunday October 1, 2023, 2:00pm at the Dandridge Field of Dream Recreation Center.
