Trudie Daniel

Mrs. Trudie Rebecca Goodwin Daniel, age 74, of Fruithurst, AL, formerly of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away December 17, 2025. She was born February 27, 1951 in Tallapoosa to the late William Ivey Goodwin and Myrtle Hulsey Goodwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mitchell Daniel; grandsons, Gabriel Thompson and Jamie Green; sisters, Dessie Morgan, Carrie Mae Chasteen, and Pauline Williams; and brothers, Bud Williams, Roy Goodwin, and David Goodwin.
Trudie owned a few restaurants in her earlier life, but later enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved to grow things in her garden and can what she grew.
She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Jill and Kenneth Wright, of Fruithurst, AL and Donna Chandler, of Tallapoosa; son, Darin Thompson, of Fort Payne, AL; grandchildren, Stacie Dunn (Tyler), J.D. Thompson, Ivey Thompson, Will Thompson, Logan Wright (Sheree), Kaleb Wright, and Brandy Green; great grandchildren, Lincoln Dunn, Jayden Green, Aaliyah Green, and Kodee Perkins; and brother, Ronnie Goodwin, of Muscadine, AL.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Rev. David Ginn and Rev. Shane Leggett officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Logan Wright, Kaleb Wright, Kenny Wright, J.D. Thompson, Ivey Thompson, and Will Thompson. Interment will follow in St. Michael Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, December 22nd from 12:00PM until the funeral hour.
