TSgt Daniel "Danny" Uresti, United States Air Force, (Ret.) died on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at a local hospice residence. He had retired after serving his country for more than twenty years in the United States Air Force. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Danny Uresti was born on January 31, 1941 in Victoria, Texas to the late Samuel and Felicita Uresti. He grew up in Victoria, Texas and graduated from St. Joseph High School there in 1959. Danny was a graduate of Victoria College and married Alice Sofie Valdez on March 7, 1965 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He served in the Air Force from 1963 until his retirement. Danny was stationed in Korea, Ireland, Iceland, and Hawaii. He was a member of Divine Redeemer parish in Colorado Springs and was a devout Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Uresti; his parents; and his brother-in-law's.
Danny is survived by his twin brother, Sammy (Lilly) Uresti of Kingsville, Texas; his sisters, Lydia (David) Cardosa of Round Rock, Texas, Sylvia Sue Baccaus of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Dorney (Ben) Gonzales of Edna, Texas. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Laura Fredrick of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister-in-law, Nora (Dale) Revello of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister-in-law Stella Hilsenbeck of Aurora, Colorado; his sister-in-law, Freida Wingart of Aurora, Colorado; his brother-in-law Virgil Valdez; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and family members.
Visitation, 5:00PM-7:00PM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Rosary immediately following, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
Mass of Christian Burial, 12:00PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021, Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
Graveside Service, 2:00PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
Memorial Contributions in Danny's memory may be made to Catholic Charities or to the Uresti Family.
He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten and always loved.
