Tyler Carte Obituary
Tyler Joseph Carte age 31, of Pleasant City, OH passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center in Cambridge, OH following an extended illness. He was born on July 6, 1994 in Marietta, OH the son of Samuel Joe and Amy E. Bettinger Carte.
He was a 2013 Caldwell High School and Mid-East Career Center graduate. Tyler went on to earn a Bachelor Degree of Digital Media from Zane State College in Zanesville, OH. He was an avid Pokémon player and collector. Tyler wrote many short stories that he published online. He could often be found watching his favorite show Destination Unkown. Tyler worked at his parent’s business and loved interacting with customers and vendors. He was grateful for the many physical therapists and staff he was able to get to know.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Rebecca Bettinger and David Bettinger; paternal grandfather Larry Carte.
Tyler’s memory will be cherished by his parents Joe and Amy Carte of Pleasant City, OH; his beloved dog Leroy; paternal grandmother Tayna Carte of Pleasant City, OH. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dave Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery.
