In 1990, Tyler, with his dad and sister LaeTitia, moved to Grapevine, Texas. His dad married Renee Parks in August 1991, and they moved to Abilene in 1992. As a child, Tyler enjoyed playing little league baseball and roller hockey. His Papa, Gayle Morrow, taught him mechanics, woodworking, and how to shoot Trap. Tyler played trombone in the Eagle Marching Band where he first met his lifelong best friends. He graduated from Abilene High School in 2005.
Tyler married Emily, the love of his life, on November 21, 2009. They welcomed their first child, a son, Bentley in 2011, and their second child, a daughter, Tehya in 2015.
Tyler owned and operated MDI Trucking until his death. He was a lover of everything outdoors. His love for hunting and fishing came from spending time as a child doing those things with his dad. As an adult, this love grew as he continued to be able to do those things with his dad, his family, and his friends. He loved teaching his kids how to kayak and how to hunt. He was always up for a random, unplanned adventure with his wife and children. Tyler looked forward, the whole year, to his annual Colorado Elk hunting trip with his brother-in-law, Cody. Tyler was supportive and proud of all of his family’s accomplishments, from helping Bentley shoot his first deer to Tehya making the gymnastics team to Emily receiving her bachelor’s degree. He deeply loved his family and friends, and everyone who knew Tyler, loved him as well.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Gayle Morrow and Bob Bell; grandfathers-in-law Walter Wheat and Bryan Ball; and grandmother Dee Vanderpool.
Tyler is survived by his wife Emily, son Bentley, and daughter Tehya. He is also survived by his dad and bonus mom, Steve and Renee Morrow; his mother, Tammy Maxwell and partner Geoffery Mueller; father-in-law and mother-in-law Darrell and wife Sharon Wheat; sister LaeTitia and husband Ross Johnson; sister Heather and husband Ryan Parrish; brother-in-law Cody and wife Meagan Wheat; grandmother Shirley Morrow and Linda Bell; grandmothers-in-law Edgarlene Ball and Doris Wheat; nieces and nephews McKinley and Lainey Johnson; Addison, Payton, and Logan Parrish; Lorelai and Chisum Wheat.
