Tyler Paul Udy passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on April 29, 1971, to Harold Udy and Sara Jane Keppler, Tyler spent his early years in Tremonton, Utah, where he graduated from Bear River High School and went on to attend Utah State University.
Tyler had a fierce love for the things that brought him joy-comic books, skateboarding, music, and making others laugh. He co-owned a comic book store for a time, sharing his passion for storytelling and graphic art with others. His love of skateboarding often left him bruised and bandaged, but never discouraged-he met each fall with humor and grit.
Tyler's stories-often hilarious and always heartfelt-were a signature part of who he was. Whether recalling childhood misadventures or spinning tales from everyday life, he had a gift for brightening the room with laughter. His musical spirit found a home in the band, The Bench Daisies, where he brought joy to others through his sound.
He loved deeply and lived loudly. Tyler adored his dogs-Bubba, Guinness, and Buster-and his cat, Runner, all of whom preceded him in passing. He was a loving father, a cherished brother to Christian Udy, Beau Udy, Brian Rausch, and Angie, and a loyal uncle and friend to many.
Tyler was the kind of person who made life more vivid just by being in it. His warmth, wit, and unwavering presence will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the LDS 16th Ward, 145 West 500 South, Brigham City, Utah.
Our family would like to thank everyone for your love and support during this time.
