Tyrone Anton Colbert

Tyrone Anton Colbert, 41, was born on April 29, 1982, in New Jersey. His untimely passing on December 6, 2023, has left a void in the hearts and lives of those blessed to experience this life with him.
Tyrone's life was a testament and true example of resilience, love, and an energetic spirit that could light up a room. While his story began in New York, his mom is of Trinidadian descent and instilled the culture in him from a young age. From New York he moved to Georgia, where he attended Columbus State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
Tyrone's commitment, dedication, and love towards his family was undeniable. As a loving father, coparent, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend, he is survived by his two children, Amaya Christine Colbert and Ashton Chandler Colbert (Columbus, GA) who were the joys of his heart and apples of his eye. He is also survived by his co-parent and the mother of his children, Tanisha Colbert (Columbus, GA) who he affectionately called his C.P.; his beloved mother, Cheryl Grannum (Central Islip, NY); his sisters, Sharifa Mohammed (Los Angeles, CA), Angela Hinton, Deanna Williams, Chloe Murdaugh; his brothers, Corwin Colbert (Hawaii), Atiba Williams (Central Islip, NY), Warren Murdaugh, Jarrett Murdaugh, Sean Murdaugh; best friends and honorary brothers, Dr. Shaun Woodly and Justin Watkins; his aunt, Brenda Daisley (Brentwood, NY); his cousin, Safiya Grannum (NY) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tyrone's charismatic personality and infectious laughter extended beyond his family and his vast circle of friends. Former colleagues and classmates join his family in mourning his loss. His zeal for life and the memories he created will last forever.
In remembrance of Tyrone, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to his children's educational fund.
