Ms. Torrance was born in Odum, Georgia on September 19, 1928, to the late Troy (Clyde) Hodges and Ethel Strickland. She attended Florida Jr. College and later Georgia College for 7 years and also was a office supervisor at Roper Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina for 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Styles Torrance, Sr. and a sister Rose Hodges.
Survivors include a son Harold Styles Torrance, Jr. and his wife Jeanne, of Washington State.
