Ursula (Collins) Gorman, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 29, 1954, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Patricia W. (Delaney) Collins. Ursula was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1973.
In the early 1980s, Ursula took a position with the Maple Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, serving as the facility's receptionist. As she welcomed her children, Ursula transitioned into the role of a homemaker, caring for her growing family at their home in Norton, Massachusetts. Once her children were enrolled in school full-time, Ursula took a position with the Norton Animal Hospital, working as a veterinary technician. She was a true animal lover.
More recently, Ursula made her home in Attleboro, and began her career with Stonehill College in Easton, where she held a variety of administrative positions. In addition to working at the college, Ursula took a part-time position with L.L. Bean, her true passion. After retiring from Stonehill in 2020, Ursula focused on her career at L.L. Bean, where she could do what she did best, help people.
Throughout her life, Ursula loved immersing herself in the natural world, finding all the beauty of nature. She looked forward to spending time throughout New England. She loved watching the waves as they crashed on local beaches and spending time at her favorite campgrounds. Most of all, Ursula loved being surrounded by her family, and was especially delighted to welcome her three grandchildren. She regularly took her grandchildren on outings, visiting museums and area attractions, loving every minute she spent with them.
Ursula was the loving mother of Adam Rizzo and his partner, Jess Tenzar, of Attleboro, Devin Collins Gorman of Attleboro, Brynne Delaney Burton and her husband, Howard Jr., of San Francisco, California. Cherished grandmother of Summer Rizzo, Collin Rizzo, and Howard Burton III. Devoted sister of Cornelia Coley of Worcester, Kate Collins of Walpole, and the late Michael Collins. Adoring aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Patricia W. (Delaney) Collins.
