A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Valarie was employed in the health care industry as a certified nursing assistant for fifteen years. After retirement she became a devoted grandmother. Valarie was a devoted family woman and was loved by all who knew her.
Valarie leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Thomas Mitchell; daughters, Bridgette, Brittany; son, Frank; grandsons, Julian, Frank Jr, Darius, David, King; granddaughters, Dakota, Miracle, Kenndi; brothers, Gregory McCray, Thomas, David; sisters, Rosa, Lillian, Tracey, Lisa, Katina, Annette; sisters-in-law, Vanita, Bobbie; a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including long time special friend, Cindy Hicks. Valarie was loved and will be truly missed.
Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Valarie McCray Mitchell will be 2:00PM Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Soutel Chapel. Because of the love of her family, arrangements entrusted to J. E. Fralin & Sons Funeral & Cremation Services, 5065 Soutel Drive, 904-924-9400
