Vaneva R. "Neva" (Watrous) Nolfi

Vaneva R. Nolfi, 99.9, formerly of Girard, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, Wisconsin.
She was born on October 27, 1925, in Merrilan, WI, the daughter of Mark and Elsie (Davis) Riggs.
Vaneva was employed with Hume's Furniture Store in Youngstown, Ohio, for 11 years, Loblaw's Grocery for 11 years, and part-time at Fanny Farmer Candies and House of Cards in the Eastwood Mall.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Girard, Ohio.
Vaneva enjoyed playing bridge in 3 different clubs. She also enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews out for a meal.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews: nieces, Marilyn (Dr. Shamim) Anwar, Luanne Bollas, Mary Burin; great-niece and nephews Amanda (Tim) Brookbank, Scott (Marissa) Klimenko, and Dwayne (Sara) Klimenko; and great-great nieces and nephews, Jaelyn, Casey, Jamie, Joey, Johnny, Abe, and Grey; her step-son, Robert A. (Joan) Nolfi; and two grandsons, Anthony and Michael Nolfi.
Vaneva was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herbert L. Watrous and Peter J. Nolfi; and siblings, Vivian Braden, Victor Riggs, Viona Laizure, Vera Balciar, Peggy Blumenthal, and Ernest Riggs.
A private graveside service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Vienna, Ohio, where Vaneva will be laid to rest.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Oak Park Place in Menasha, WI, for 9 years of loving care they provided.
