Velma Jean (Fite) Pillischafske
September 17, 1928 – July 16, 2025
96 Years Old
Jean was a native of Waggoner, Illinois. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Middletown Woman's Club, and Daughters of American Revolution - John Marshall Chapter. Former volunteer at Norton Suburban Hospital, American Red Cross and Cedar Lake Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Martin (married 49 years); her sister, Mary Ellen (Fite) Boston; her daughter in law. Dyan Churchill; and her parents, Morris and Ellen (Skeen) Fite.
Survivors include: Son, Wm. Morris Pillischafske of Louisville; Daughter, Karen G. Gardner (John) of Coral Springs, FL; Son, Robert M. Pillischafske (Sarah) of Louisville; Grandchildren, Scott M. Gardner (Shanna), John Austin Gardner, Lauren G. Schultz (Douglas), Thomas M. Pillischafske (Lauren) and James W. Pillischafske (Catherine) of Fishers, IN.; 11 Great Grandchildren. God child, Kim Truitt of Missouri City, TX.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:00 am at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The service continues with the committal service at Middletown Historical Cemetery.
Expressions of Sympathy may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church Golden Oldies, Cedar Lake Lodge or donor's favorite charity.
