Vera Caillais Obituary
Vera Marie-Adams Caillais, 86 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 24, 2025. She entered this world on April 10, 1939, born to Evance and Ruth Adams, in Thibodaux, LA. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, LA. Vera was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Vera is survived by her loving sons, Gary Caillais, Troy Caillais, and Ronald Caillais; daughters, Charlene Knot and Melissa Ferguson (Herschell); 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild; brother, Evance P. Adams, Jr. (Earline); sisters, Sylvia Babin and Catherine Duplantis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Albert James "Jimmy" Caillais; father, Evance Paul Adams; and mother, Ruth Theresa Bourg Adams.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
