Vera Faye Johnson Green was born on July 27, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas to parents Wylie and Hester Blanton Johnson. She married Charles Edward Green on July 29, 1959 in Sweetwater. Vera was a member of Mount Rose Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Sister: Joyce Johnson of Logansport, Indiana, Daughter: Brenda Faye Green Jenkins of Huntsville, Texas, Sons: Michael Green, Reverend Marvin J. Green and wife Brenda, Billy J. Johnson and wife Ann all of Sweetwater, Texas. 20 Grandchildren and 26 Great-Grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by: Parents: Wylie and Hester Johnson, Sisters: Lena Faye McCuller and Helen Wilson, Brothers: Earlie, Jerry, William M.and William H. Johnson, Daughter: Carolyn Haywood Williams, Son: Carvin Lemmons Williams, Grandsons: Quentin Green and Michael DWayne Walker.

Vera love to cook, Sunday dinner for her family,"Worm comes on through after church and eat dinner with us, Greens, red beans, corn bread, mashed potatoes, peach cobbler. It´s always more food to go around and take a plate to go. I will miss the Sunday meal with the family getting together and eat
