Vera Clark Moore, 82, of Reynolds, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at her residence. Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Turner's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Butler, GA, with funeral services following at 11 a.m., with Pastor Micah Arrington, Pastor Mike Garner, and Rev. Phil Bozeman officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Vera was born May 25, 1943, in Dooly County, GA, to the late Lewis and Estelle Clark. She was reared in Dooly County, graduating from Crisp County High School in Cordele, GA. She moved to Taylor County in 1961, when she married the love of her life, Raymond Moore. She was retired from the Taylor County Commissioners' Office. Vera was a woman of great faith. Her greatest joys were spending time with, and loving, her family and praising her Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Clarence Moore, Sr.; her three sons, Raymond Clarence (Kimberly) Moore, Jr., Todd Clark (Valori) Moore, and Charlie Hilliard Moore; five grandchildren, Taylor (Micah) Arrington, Amber (Avery) Bragg, Clay (Shelby) Moore, Brette (Caleb) Kirksey, and Hayli (Connor) Tharpe; five great grandchildren, Huntley and Gabriel Arrington, Aycen and Averley Bragg, and Mattie Stevens Kirksey; one sister, Brenda (Mike) Garner; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family thanks the caregivers at Aveanna Hospice in Griffin, GA for the loving and devoted care of "Ma." Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or www.alz.org. Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel and Crematory of Fort Valley, GA was entrusted with all arrangements.
