Vera Janette Wesley

Vera Janette Wesley, age 94, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Funeral
services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 2:30 pm at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, AL with the Reverend Averyt Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Enon
Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
Vera, Janette, or "Tot" was born and raised in the Enon community and attended Pike County High in Brundidge. She began working at the ASCS office now the Farm Service Agency and later extension in the historic Rock Building in Troy. Janette returned home to be a stay at home mom until her children began school. In later years, she retired from Regions Bank as a teller to spoil grandchildren; to sew on many, many, many projects; and to enjoy gardening and fishing with her husband, Bennie, along with the grands in tow. In her spare time, Janette loved to entertain family and friends with some of her best southern dishes and desserts. Through the years Janette was a devoted member to Enon Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, VBS director, cemetery committee member, and serving where needed.
Vera, Janette, Mom, Grandma Net, Aunt Tot-all names for one who will be greatly missed and remembered for her warm smile, willingness to serve, love of laughter,
exceptional cook, and ability to share a good tale.
Ms. Wesley is survived by her children: Ben G. Wesley (Julie), Janne W. Brabham, and Mary W. DuBose (Mike); grandchildren: Carrie W. Zink (Jason), Laura W. Mumblow
(Alex), Garrett Wesley (Naiden), Janna B. Menefee (Josh), Jake DuBose (Sondra) and Morgan DuBose; brother, Grover Garrett and sister, Ruth G. Henderson; great
grandchildren: Noah Zink, Kylie Zink, Avett Zink, Wesley Mumblow, Kendyll Wesley, Cooper Wesley, Lilly Wood, Dawson Menefee, Braxton Jordan, Mason DuBose, and
Holly Kate DuBose.
Ms. Wesley was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie L. Wesley; son in law, Joseph Brabham; parents: Curtis Garrett and Bessie Long Garrett; brothers: Buford
Garrett, Arlie F. Garrett, Walter H. Garrett and Robert Garrett; sisters: Ruby Ingram, Susie Elmore and Mary Gullatte.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the most compassionate caregivers: Loretta Blair, Shirley Durden and Linda Thomas.
